About Me

My photo
I am mom to three little blessings on earth - Cale, Addy, & Cash. Pre-kiddos, I was a Special Education teacher, but now I spend my days at home with my little ones. I hope to use this site as a journal- to document the day to day stuff we experience on this wild ride we call life :). I look forward to learning, sharing, reflecting, and GROWING. So pull up a chair and visit a while. Please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by. I'd love to check out your blog as well. Let the blogging begin :)! Ready or not...here I go :)!

Miss Independent

This is proof that my three year old knows it ALL and can do it ALL...ALL BY HERSELF :). I smile at her growing independence (well, usually I smile though sometimes it is only after several deep breaths and counting to 10- lol...). I must admit, I am often the same headstrong way in my relationship with God. I want to know and understand, "Why God?" I want things to work out the way I think they should - when I think they should. So many things don't make sense from where I stand, and I beg and plead to have things be the way I think they should....to know why bad things happen... to make "earthly" sense of the storms. But through it all, I know God's Will is perfect. He is...and was... and forever will be all knowing. Thankfully, God is in charge and He loves me...even when life seems so confusing that I can't tell left from right.

Something I Read Today...

I "stumbled" upon this today. I know I needed to read it. Thought I would share :)...

If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labor.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions.

We Did It... We Did It... We Did It! YEAH!!!

It's always a good feeling when I see 3 little sets of eyes looking in the same direction :)...
One's escaping...
Hold on, Addy has to take a call...

What color, Addy?

Cash & the snack cabinet...a reoccurring problem :)!
Cale gives up :)! I think Cash needs an intervention!
Day 2

Marriage is full of surprises...even after 8 years, this was one of them :)!

Daddy makes everything better.
Best $3 we've spent in a long time...

Bye, bye bumper!!!
TRAPPED...hopefully!

In the words of Dora, "We did it!!!" We made it to Church this Sunday :)! After the service we came home for lunch and then Cale and Joel worked on a car set we surprised him with (found it locally online for $3 :)!!!). As soon as we got Cash down for a nap, we headed out to the pool for day two of pool progress. After a little bit, we came in to find Cash trying to climb out of his crib! He was using his bumper pad to boost himself up. Man oh man, what a little monkey! So tonight we said "Bye, bye bumpers!". Hopefully the crib will contain him for a few more months. I am just not ready for my baby to be in a toddler bed... he's not even 14 months old! Here are some pics from today. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend :)!

Pool Progress

Turning purple...time to go inside!

Cale wants to be America's Next Top Model :)!

Daddy doubles as a boat...
and a diving board :).
Deep thoughts-shallow water
Scrub-a-dub-dub

Cale is holding his nose, and there is less than a foot of water in the pool :).

Adventures With the Pool Part 1

Fishy Face
Shark Pose
A "picnic" (crackers & juice) by the unfilled pool
This is what a poolside timeout looks like :)...the first of many, I'm sure!
Cashy didn't care for the water, so he supervised from under the canopy tent.
Waiting on the water...
Is this sanitary? Too late to worry now, I guess.

I'm pretty sure this isn't what your Dad meant by needing some help.
Such a love /hate relationship

A flower for "Om"...
Cashy is here to supervise

Somehow she thinks holding the hose makes it fill up faster...
It doesn't take much water to entertain them.
The beginning...
Lifeguard Cale
Such a happy child :)...
Still working on looking at the camera...
